This was a time-and-place-specific piece devised for a weekend away with friends in a cottage in Cornwall, over the Spring Equinox of 2016. This release is the unedited recording of my performance in the living room to a small audience of slightly curious friends.

Ingredients include Samuel Beckett (to whom all the words in this piece belong), pebbles from a nearby beach, a recording of the sea from earlier that day, and a homemade 'mini-fake-turntable' device. Ideas include stuff about memory, place, human friendship, and equinoxes.

The sound quality isn't the best, but it more or less represents what happened. The second track is the raw unadorned recording of the sea, made a few hours before the performance.

Released on the day of the Autumn Equinox 2016.

released September 22, 2016

Thanks to Ed for organising the weekend and to everyone else for coming. Thanks also to Samuel Beckett.
